Horton Plains is more popular because of the “Wolds End” which is a unique place. At one place of the Plane the plateau comes to a sudden end dropping vertically more than 1000 m. Horton plain is undulating 2000m high plateau of little England. The wind blows here at a terrific speed from low lying areas and very often it is covered with mist making it difficult to see the low lying area more than 1000 m below. There are very special varieties of Orchids and sambhur is found in abundance. It is home for Leopards and a special variety of bearded monkeys. The “Bakers Falls” is the only attraction apart from fauna and flora which adorns the park.
