There are two special islands in the Western Coast. Another 35 smaller islands have received the interest of tourists. These have been identified as over Wet Zone lands. They are located around Madu Ganga. You can see the people of the area have a different culture and different ways of living. Similarly, Madu ganga (river) area is famous for the most popular mangroves. Researchers have found about 330 species of mangroves in the area where about 250 families are living.
