Turtle is a sea animal which is facing extinction all over the world. As a preventive measure, large scale breeding centres have been established in South Sri Lanka at Rekawa and Kosgoda. When they grow up to a point of self-survival, they are released to the sea. There are four species of turtles in the world namely, barracuda, Mantrays, Stingrays and Shark.
